The university’s experts believe the device could help frail elderly people by allowing them to become more active without taking the risks involved in getting out and about.

They are looking specifically at the Wii Fit, a version of the software which has games and Nintendo Wii Accessories designed to improve balance.

It is all about improving people’s quality of life and wellbeing so they have more confidence.

The Wii is already a popular tool in many homes for the elderly, due to the benefits of staying active.

Nintendo Wii accessories will get you into the game like never before

As we all know, Nintendo Wii Accessories maximize our Wii experience. these accessories will get you into the game like never before.

If you’re buying Nintendo Wii as a gift then you must also buy its accessories. Wii is really a fun game straight out of the box. Choose from a wide variety of Nintendo Wii Accessories from online stores.

The first pair of accessories you'll probably want to invest in is another Wii remote ($35) and nunchuk ($20) attachment. The Wii only ships with one set and if you plan on playing with more than one person, you're going to need these. While the nunchuk doesn't require batteries, the remotes do. Replacing their AA batteries can become expensive so we highly recommend picking up one of our favorite chargers, the Nyko Charge Station (in either two- or four-capacity models).

if you're serious about retro gaming, you may want to consider purchasing the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller. The Wii gives you access to a huge library of old school games via the Virtual Console and the Wing controller is the best way to play these older games. The included Wii remote will only work with some of the games, but the Wing's compatibility runs across the board.

So, what are you waiting for? Go grab your own Nintendo Wii Accessories now and experienced wii like no other.

Projectors provide the highest quality picture for movies

If top quality and super high digital clarity are important to you when it comes to movies, presentations and images, then a Digital Projector is the answer to your prayers.Projectors provide the highest quality picture for movies and can display the movie with crystal clear clarity on a screen up to two hundred inches when measured diagonally. In essence a projector can turn your home into a full blown movie theater.

One of the main merits of the Cine-Digitar 1.33x Anamorphic Lens is the fact that it counters the downsides of letterboxing. As some might know, letterboxing is the practice of transferring widescreen films to video formats while preserving the original aspect ratio. However, since almost all displays have a more square aspect ratio than the original film, the obtained video has to incorporate masked-off areas above and below the picture area (often referred to as "black bars," or, more accurately, as mattes). This leads to that relatively distorted aspect of the movies, which is far from the true cinematographic experience most users are looking for.

Despite being a very useful piece of equipment, not many users will be able to enjoy the advantages provided by the Cine-Digitar 1.33x Anamorphic Lens. And the main reason for this is the fact that the accessory has an MSRP of around 4200 US dollars, which could prove to be way too big of a price for most users.

Quite a lot of people choose projectors as the centerpiece of their home-cinema system, as this solution costs a lot less than a comparable plasma or LED Projector, and delivers high-quality images, as well as a cinematographic experience much closer to the real thing. However, most Digital Projector cannot display the images as a professional projector does, and this is the reason why the Schneider Optics company has launched in June 2007 the Cine-Digitar 1.33x Anamorphic Lens, an accessory that will allow users to create 2.35 (Cinemascope) aspect ratio images with 16:9 projectors.

Tips for Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Both the wireless and wired Xbox 360 Controller share the same set of features and shapes and other than the battery compartment found on the wireless version, both controllers are identical.

How do wireless game controllers work? In this guide we will take a look at how the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller work.

The wireless controllers for XBox operate on a 2.4Ghz radio frequency, and can operate up to 30 feet away from the console. They work pretty good around obstacles as well, unlike the infrared controls often used in remotes. So even if your game machine is off to the side, the wireless controller will still work fine without having to point it at the machine. When you buy a wireless controller for XBox 360, it comes with instructions on how to hook it up. If you've lost the instructions though, it's a pretty simple process. The first step is batteries for the Xbox 360 Controller. It takes two AA batteries. You remove the battery pack on the back of the controller by pushing the little button on top and then pulling the cover open. The batteries themselves tend to stick once you put them in, and you will probably have to bang the thing on the palm of your hand to get the depleted batteries out. Both the XBox 360 faceplate and the wireless controllers have the Ring of Lightfeature - a 4 quadrant light-up ring that indicates which controllers are recognized, and which controller is which. For example, on the game box itself, you may see the 2 upper quadrants lit up, meaning two controllers are either wired in or recognized wirelessly.

On the controllers, one would have the upper left light lit up (around the big silver XBox button) while the other would have the upper right light lit up, letting you know which was player 1 and which was player 2. The light also indicates whether the controller unit is turned on or off. Turning the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller on or off is done by pushing the silver XBox button in the middle of the controller.

US Robotics Dual-Purpose USB Skype Phone that lets you use Skype and your normal landline all from a single handset

You may have heard of the US Robotics Dual-Purpose USB Skype Phone that lets you use Skype and your normal landline all from a single handset. It's similar to the Linksys CIT300 Dual-Mode Cordless Phones Skype we reviewed a while back.

To get the feature list out of the way, it uses DECT 6.0, which operates on a wireless frequency that doesn't interfere with WiFi and Bluetooth. It also supports four handsets (I only had one), has a 150 foot indoor and 900 foot outdoor range, speakerphone, caller ID, Skype phonebook, and Windows 2000/XP support.

How do I like it? Only one way to find out.

The short answer is, I really enjoy it. The Cordless Phones Skype is very easy to use, and though some would dock points off the old-school LCD screen, I give it points for its large text that makes it easy for slightly older users to read. Which ties into the other think I like about it, that it's easy enough for your parents to use. Let me explain.

Setting up the USB Skype Phone just consists of installing the included software onto your PC to interface with your Skype install, plugging in the USB base unit, and charging up the handset. The handset and base unit detect each other automatically so there's no setup. Then, you can plug in a landline phone to your base unit to get analog calls as well. Once everything's set up (less than 10 minutes), you can make and receive calls on both Skype and your landline from one receiver—very useful.

So besides the call quality being great and the screen easy to read, we also liked the one-touch Skype contact list button. The buttons are large and give great feedback, and the handset is large enough to not feel uncomfortable in your hand, something we noticed with a few other phones. All in all, the $120 price tag and feature set on this phone makes it a great deal if you're looking for a Cordless Phones Skype that also does analog calling.

The Panasonic USB Skype Phone is perfect for travelers

Most of the USB Skype Phone we tested was, scientifically speaking, sucky. Supposedly a phone taps into your wireless internet signal (or any wifi signal that’s open or to which you have a password). If you are in a wifi hotpot and someone calls your Skype phone number your wifi phone will ring.

The problem is that most USB Skype Phone too often looses the wifi signal they are tracking. And their call quality is inconsistent. With one Skype wifi phone we tested the person on the other end literally couldn’t understand a word we were saying; he joked about his concern that we had be kidnapped and were trying to ask him for help through our mouth gag.

Of all the phones we tried, the Netgear phone is adequate and the Ipevo S0-20 is quite good. But the Panasonic is the only phone that consistently made clear calls.

Unfortunately, the TV remote-resembling Panasonic is also the worst looking USB Skype Phone we tested. But we approve of the phone’s easy set-up and long battery life (55 hours of standby, 4.5 hours of talk, between charges). Add that to calls that can sound better than your typical cordless phone, and this Panasonic Skype phone is a winner of function if not form.

While we recommend this Panasonic for your home phone it also happens to be one of the best Skype phone. To that end, it comes with a carry case, voltage-adjusting power supply and a travel router with wireless signal locator (photo below). The Panasonic USB Skype Phone is perfect for travelers who want to avoid the hefty international rates cellular companies charge.

Cheap Digital Projector

A cheap digital projector comes in a large variety of brands available at many stores online. One of the popular ways to shop for one is based upon the amount of lumens. The amount of lumens determines the amount of the different aspects of light that are available at one time or in one area. A digital lED Multimedia Projectors Projector that has a higher lumens will probably have a brighter picture because there is more light available compared to a unit that has a lower lumens. The two main types of units are Digital Light Processing (DLP) and Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). DLP units are newer and more expensive compared to LCD's. A digital unit makes it possible to view video files on a personal computer in the form of plug-ins that make optimal viewing on the Internet possible. Units also come in portable, overhead, and wireless versions.

Older units allow the light to transmit based upon pixels. The amount of pixels depends upon the imaging data received from a computer. The light is transmitted through an LCD panel and then projected onto the screen. A cheap digital projector can project an image of high resolution with the ability to adjust the contrast and the brightness. Some of the newer units are capable of higher luminosity and beautiful images. Some machines contain newer technology that controls the amount of yellow light so the colors are richer and clearer. On selling merchandise the Bible mentions how others can benefit from being able to buy things that are needed. "People curse the man who hoards grain, but blessing crowns him who is willing to sell." (Proverbs 11:26)

When shopping for a good machine there will be detailed specifications that might help when making a choice. Some of these include resolution, display device, brightness, contrast ratio, video signal, number of colors, lamp and lamp life, type of lens, image size, speakers, and other accessories. A digital lcd projector should include a remote control, batteries, a power cord, and should have the capability of plugging into a computer. In addition, there should be an Ethernet card and a USB cord. Software should make it possible for the unit to be plugged into a computer through a network connection. Some sites offer a product data sheet on their devices for sale. This will allow the viewer to look at the key features and specification more carefully and pictures of the unit showing input and output as well as other important information.

Optional items that can be purchased separately for a unit include the lens and the lamp, among others. A cheap digital projector may not include the high end of these two products. So it may be possible to purchase a cheap unit and then upgrade key accessories for better performance. The detailed specifications will show the type of lens and lamp that do come with the unit and how many hours there are with the lamp life. The consumer should make sure that the machine will accommodate higher end accessories before purchasing a digital projector. Most sites include a list of replaceable accessories that will accommodate the unit of choice. Since degradation takes place with the light or lumens output over time the lamp should be replaced periodically depending upon the usual life mentioned in the specifications.

Go for the HS101 ultra-portable DLP LED Projector

As I haven’t got any feedback from my previous post regarding this product, So, I took the risk and decided to go for the HS101 ultra-portable DLP LED Projector from LG Electronics. And it’s finally here. I imagine few people have had the chance to play with it. So, I spent some time to write this brief review.

The LED Projector is part of a new crop of projectors that differ from previous generations by using leds instead of lamps. The biggest disadvantage of these led projectors is that they currently can’t match the level of brightness provided by lamp based ones. While the latter’s brightness are usually measured in terms of thousands of lumens, led projectors’ brightness still range between 25 and 100 lumens. I know the gap sounds ridiculous, but bear in mind that lumen isn’t a linear unit; double the lumens and you may hardly notice any difference in brightness. Anyway, pictures to follow may give a better hint on this matter.

So, why did I choose a LED Projector?

The reasons: 1) Near-zero IR emission, thus causing less IR pollution on the camera (no hotspots!). 2) Incredibly small size and weight, thus allowing for easier integration especially in boxed/table setups. This is made even easier with reasons 3 and 4 below. 3) Average shorter throw distances. 4) Cooler operation (turns off in 2 seconds!). 5) Relative low cost.

Business projectors: Deciding what you need

At first glance, portable digital projectors designed for the business market seem to have much in common with their home-theater counterparts. However, a closer look reveals some very significant differences, including weight, screen aspect, brightness, contrast, resolution and price. This report focuses on digital projectors that shine brightest in the boardroom or on the road.
Multimedia Projectors are also becoming an increasingly popular option for home theaters, and that's especially true of those capable of displaying widescreen high-definition TV signals in their full resolution. In addition, home-theater projectors can display the largest high-definition images of all at the lowest cost-per-inch compared to other television technologies. See our separate report on home-theater projectors if you are more interested in a projector for your living room than for the conference room.
There are a number of excellent places to find reviews of business-class portable digital projectors. First and foremost are ProjectorCentral.com and ProjectorReviews.com. These two sites include lots of great background information, as well as in-depth reviews that sometimes go on for pages. Information about both business and Multimedia Projectors can be found at both sites.

Since business digital projectors are most typically used with computers to create detailed presentations, good reviews and information can also be found at computer-oriented magazines and websites, including PC Magazine, PC World, CNet.com and Laptop magazine. These publications, however, are more sporadic in their coverage. Consumer Reports has an article on home theater projectors, but doesn't address digital projectors for business use.
