A cheap digital projector comes in a large variety of brands available at many stores online. One of the popular ways to shop for one is based upon the amount of lumens. The amount of lumens determines the amount of the different aspects of light that are available at one time or in one area. Optional items that can be purchased separately for a unit include the lens and the lamp, among others. A cheap digital projector may not include the high end of these two products. The consumer should make sure that the machine will accommodate higher end accessories before purchasing a digital projector. Since degradation takes place with the light or lumens output over time the lamp should be replaced periodically depending upon the usual life mentioned in the specifications.
